Primary Responsibilities:

Installation – Handle installation of new construction wiring and electrical systems; ensure all municipal codes are complied with and make sure power is properly and safely distributed from power source to main circuit breaker; proficient in reading and following blueprints.
Planning – Plan electrical designs; determine appropriate placement of electrical outlets, lighting fixtures, heating and air conditioning circuit breaker boxes; establish temporary power for new construction occasionally and advise on installation of circuit breaker boxes and other residential electrical systems.
Maintenance – Assess electrical system repairs, replacements or updates; run new lines for appliances and connect to circuit breaker boxes; troubleshoot circuit trips; perform maintenance and repair on faulty circuit breakers or faulty wiring.
Mentoring - mentor and guide apprentice electricians, sharing expertise and modeling our values of safety, efficiency, teamwork and talent.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: wire pulls; mounting equipment; installing and/or bending conduit, basic blueprint reading, fixture rough-ins & connections, basic layouts from sketches, panel and transformer terminations, underground rough-ins, digging trenches, tool maintenance, inventory control, clean-up of jobsite, etc.


  • Active Colorado Residential (RW) License
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as Residential Wireman (RW)
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Safety Leadership
  • Proven mechanical/technical aptitude and strong math skills
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Detail oriented; organized; self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills including reading, writing, and verbal
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License, clean driving history & evidence of insurability
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clean criminal record (Must be able to pass a background check)
  • Drug-free; drug testing is part of final review

Physical Requirements:

  • Generally, job consists of 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing.
  • Ability to work in restrictive areas
  • Moving and occasionally lifting 51 – 150 Lbs
  • Carrying tools and materials up to 400 Ft
  • Pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
  • Working in confined areas, such as crawl spaces and attics
  • Climbing ladders, scaffolds, and roofs of all heights
  • Working in extreme weather conditions
  • Able to distinguish colored wires
  • Digging trenches

Work Environment:

Inside or Outside in all types of weather and climates (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.). Generally, hazard free environment.
